Discretionary Grant for Low Fixed Costs – Scheme Now Open

Leeds Council Discretionary Grants

The discretionary grant for low fixed costs (for home based businesses and those with fixed non-domestic property costs of less than £4000 per annum) has now re-opened.

This grant will provide a single, one off payment of £500 for eligible sole traders or £1,000 for eligible businesses which employ two or more staff (including the proprietor). This scheme is reopening for eligible businesses who missed the opportunity to apply in December 2020, February 2021 and March/April 2021.

If you have already applied for the grant you are not eligible to apply again.

If you have previously applied for a grant and not heard back, rest assured the Council are working as quickly as they can to process the large existing backlog of applications to get the payments out. They are currently working on applications received up to and including 12 April 2021.  Applications are being assessed in the date order they were received and payments will be made as soon as the grant application is approved.   You can expect a decision by 30 June 2021. Please do not re-apply we will get to your application as soon as we can.

If you have not applied previously then please apply using the following link to check the full eligibility criteria and to complete the on-line application form, which you can access here.

Applications close at 5pm on the 28 June 2021
